India will go into the last game of the 3-match T20I series to be hosted by Pune with an unassailable 1-0 lead against Sri Lanka. India got the better of Lankans with a clinical all-round performance during the Indore T20I after the first match in Guwahati was washed out without a ball being bowled.

Sri Lanka finished with only 142/9 in their 20 overs while the home side chased it down with their top four batters scoring 30+ runs. India could be seen making a couple of changes to their playing XI or their batting line-up.

All the key stats and numbers ahead of the last T20I to be played in Pune:

0.3 – Sri Lanka has a win-loss ratio of 0.3 in the T20I cricket on Indian soil; the 3rd worst W/L ratio for any team in this format in any country. (Min: 10 T20Is played) Australia has a ratio of 0.125 in England while Zimbabwe has a ratio of 0.142 at home. Sri Lanka has won 3 and lost 10 out of the 10 T20I matches they played in India.

1-1 – India played two T20I matches at the MCA Stadium in Pune where they won one and lost one. India defeated England by 5 wickets in 2012 while Sri Lanka defeated the hosts by the same margin in here in 2016. It was also the last time that Sri Lanka defeated India in a T20I in India as they lost all the six completed T20Is post that game.

12 – India has won 12 of the 18 T20Is they played against Sri Lanka; the most wins in T20I cricket for India against an opposition. Only Pakistan (13 each vs NZ and SL) won more T20Is against an opponent in this format.

11 – India has won each of their last 11 bilateral series against Sri Lanka; a streak that began in 2012. If India win the Pune T20I or it ends without a result, they will extend the streak to 12. In fact, Sri Lanka has not won a bilateral series against India ever since Virat Kohli’s International debut.

The ongoing T20I series is the 19th bilateral series between India and Sri Lanka since Kohli’s debut out of which India won 16. In fact, India won all the 10 bilateral series against Sri Lanka where Kohli played at least one match.

52 – Number of wickets picked up each of Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal in T20I cricket; the joint leading wicket-takers for India in this format. Bumrah played the 2nd T20I in Indore while Chahal was permitted to bench. Ashwin is not part of the squad for the current series.

607 – Virat Kohli has scored 607 runs across 8 innings he batted in seven International matches at the MCA Stadium in Pune. No other player has even scored 150 International runs at this venue. Kohli has an average of 86.71 here with the help of three centuries and fifty. He recorded his highest score of 254* against South Africa in the last game hosted by this venue.

10999 – Runs Virat Kohli has scored in his International career while leading the Indian team till date. Kohli is only one run away from becoming the 6th captain with 11000 International runs and will be the quickest to reach there.
