Team India would like to continue their sensational run in T20Is as they take on Sri Lanka in the second match of the three-match series. The encounter takes place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Saturday (February 26). Having won the opening game by 62 runs, the Men in Blue enjoy a 1-0 lead, and a win in this game will seal the series for them.

Hence, Sri Lanka must unleash their A-game in the do-or-die contest. However, many are not backing the Lankan Lions to bounce back, considering the proceedings of the first T20I. Rohit Sharma’s men were dominant across all three departments as the visitors never really looked in the hunt.

Chasing a massive target of 200 in Lucknow, the Dasun Shanaka-led side lost wickets at regular intervals and was eventually restricted to 136/6. Although Charith Asalanka did score 53 runs, his efforts could only narrow down the margin of defeat. As far as India are concerned, hardly anything went against their way besides the toss.

Batting first, the hosts posted 199/2 on the board with Ishan Kishan stealing the show. The southpaw put up a batting exhibition and scored 89 off just 56 deliveries. Besides him, Shreyas Iyer scored 57 off mere 28 deliveries. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer were the stand-out performers in the bowling department, taking two wickets apiece.

Meanwhile, the significance of this series is much more than the outcome. As the T20 World Cup 2022, which will take place in Australia, is less than eight months away, all teams would be busy identifying their best combination.

Here’s a look at how the weather will behave during India vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20I:

Meanwhile, dark clouds are looming over the encounter as rain is all set to play a part. If not a washout, it’s pretty certain that the weather conditions will shorten the match. As per accuweather.com, rain is predicted with the precipitation chances being as high as 90 percent. While the wind will blow at a speed of 10 km/h, the humidity will also be on the higher side. These conditions aren’t ideal for a cricket match. Hence, a full-fledged game is highly unlikely.
