Windies ensured India didn’t run away with the ODI series like in the two-match Test series which lasted only six match days. The series line reads 2-1 in the hosts’ favour ahead of the final ODI in Trivandrum which meant that Windies doesn’t have a chance to win a series against the No.2 ranked side. However, the visitors have an opportunity to stop the Men in Blue’s series winning-spree over them that began way back in 2007. India thrashed the confidence of the Windies in the previous encounter by outclassing them in all departments.

All the key stats and numbers ahead of the final game of the five-match ODI series between India and the Windies:

7 – India has won each of their last seven bilateral ODI series against the Windies including four at home. All the previous 18 ODI bilateral series between the two teams were won by either of teams.


17Kuldeep Yadav has claimed 17 wickets across seven ODI innings against the Caribbean side. He has taken at least two wickets in six occasions and went wicketless once.


309 – Runs Jason Holder has scored in ODI cricket against India; the most he has scored against any side in this format. The Windies skipper also claimed 14 wickets in the 50-overs format against India; the second most for him against any team after Pakistan (15).


420Virat Kohli has scored 420 runs in four matches in this series thus far. Only Virat himself (558) during the six-match ODI series in South Africa and Fakhar Zaman (515) in the Zimbabwe series this year have scored over 500 runs in a bilateral ODI series.


967Rohit Sharma has scored 967 runs in the ODI matches in 2018. Only in 2013 (1196) and in 2017 (1293), Rohit has scored over 1000 ODI runs thus far.


995 – Kieran Powell needs five more runs to complete 1000 runs in ODI cricket. The left-hander is six runs away from completing 3000 International runs having scored 1987 Test runs and 12 T20I runs thus far.


4929 – Runs Shikhar Dhawan has scored in the 113 innings he batted in his ODI career. If he scored 71 more runs in his next ODI innings, he will be the joint second fastest to reach the milestone after Hashim Amla (101).


9999 – MS Dhoni needs one more run for completing 10000 runs for India in ODI cricket. His overall tally of 10173 ODI runs includes 174 runs made across three games for the Asia XI.
