India vs Windies, 5th ODI, Match Prediction: Who will win the Match?

India already took an unassailable lead in the five-match series with a victory against the Windies at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai by 224 runs. The visiting team would be disappointed for the reason that they had a golden chance of putting the skids under Virat Kohli’s men following their triumph by 43 runs in Pune, which helped them draw level in the series.

In the fifth and final ODI at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, both teams have everything to play for. The Men in Blue have been dominant at home for many years and they would be eager to carry on with their good numbers on home soil. On the other hand, a victory for the Caribbean team can prove to be a major morale booster for them.

Pitch

The venue is set to host its first ODI and therefore nothing much can be said about the nature of the track. Only one T20I between India and New Zealand last year has been hosted thus far at the stadium. Hence, teams would want to bowl first after winning the toss in order to gauge the nature of the strip when the opposition team bats on it.

Rohit Sharma is likely to be rested and the right-handed batsman may make way for KL Rahul, who will open with left-handed Shikhar Dhawan. Holder, McCoy and Roach are the pacers with Allen and Bishoo being the spinners.
