India have registered yet another emphatic ODI series victory at home. They were chasing a paltry 105 runs to win the game and series by 3-1 and did it comfortably in the end. The visitors never arrived at the venue as their batsmen played reckless strokes and the credit has to go to the Indian bowlers as well who were incisive from the word go. However, during the chase, there was a moment when Rohit Sharma got out and was called back by his skipper Virat Kohli as it was a no-ball.
The incident took place in the eighth over of the Indian innings. Oshane Thomas’ pace was certainly troubling the opening batsman. The last ball of the over was a back of a length delivery and nipped a bit to kiss the outside edge of Rohit’s bat. India‘s vice-captain obliged to the same and started walking back to the dressing room.
He was unaware of the action at the other end as the umpire had called it a no-ball. Oshane had crossed the line by a huge margin only to reprieve the batsman. Meanwhile, Rohit was stopped by Kohli gesturing that it was not a legitimate delivery after which he came back to the crease. Rohit eventually went on to smash an unbeaten half-century and fittingly finished the game.

Unlucky Oshane
Oshane Thomas has been extremely unlucky in this innings so far. He scalped Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket much like he did in the series opener. However, he would’ve been happier if Jason Holder had managed to hold on to Kohli’s catch. A wonderful got big on the Indian captain and he edged it to the first slip only to go through Holder’s hands. He could’ve had Rohit as well but the no-ball kept him away from the wicket.
Ideally, the youngster could’ve had a dream day with the ball scalping India’s famous top three. But as it stands now, he has only a solitary wicket to his name and has conceded 33 runs in his four overs.
