Here are all the major stats and numbers recorded during a thrilling game between India and England.
India Women’s poor run in the T20I format continued as they were whitewashed by England Women in the 3-match series. India bottled an easy chance of a win as they needed only three runs from the last six balls bowled by Kate Cross. After three consecutive dot balls to start the 20th over, Cross held her nerves by giving away only one run from the remaining three. Earlier, Smriti Mandhana smashed a 39-ball 58 in response to a total of 119/6 by the visitors.
Here are all the major stats and numbers recorded during a thrilling game between India and England:
A record win for England Women:
3 – The three runs successfully defended by Kate Cross are the fewest in the last over of a T20I across Men’s and Women’s cricket. New Zealand Women defeated Windies Women by 1-run margin during the last year’s T20I with Anna Peterson successfully defending five runs in the 20th over.
1 – The 1-run win in this game is England Women’s narrowest winning margin in the T20I format. This is the 2nd time that India Women have lost a T20I by a 1-run margin. They failed to chase down a target of 99 runs during the 2012 WT20 against Pakistan as they finished with 97/8.
India’s losing streak continues:

India Women’s previous biggest losing streak was of six T20Is during 2016. India won eight T20Is in a row to register their longest winning streak prior to the semi-final defeat against England.
Mandhana shines but the team fails:

Dane van Niekerk scored 72 in the 2018 Taunton T20I against England while chasing a record total. Less than four hours before the 72-run knock, Niekerk scored 58 against New Zealand at the same venue.
5 – Number of fifty-plus scores by Mandhana in the T20I format that resulted in defeats; the joint-most by any player in Women’s cricket. Windies all-rounder Stafanie Taylor also scored five T20I fifties in defeats.
