History was created in the Liverpool Competition Premier League as Colwyn Bay right-arm medium pacer from India Shrikant Mundhe became the first bowler in the league to take a perfect 10 in an innings. He ran through the Birkenhead Park batting order to secure a narrow victory for his team at the Penrhyn Avenue.

With that, Mundhe became only the 17th player in the history of the league that dates back to 1920 to claim all the ten opposition wickets and was just the 5th since the fixtures have been standardized in 1949. He is the only bowler to achieve the rare feat in the Premier Division that has been played since 1999.

The all-rounder plays for Maharashtra in Indian domestic cricket and 48 first-class and 29 List A matches for the team. Mundhe has been a regular feature in the team and is utilizing the time of a break from the circuit to play for the club.

Earlier in the game, Rock-bottom Park won the toss and elected to bat. The opposition managed to post 168 runs in their knock with the bat. It was during which he managed figures of 10/85 from 24.1 overs. After the grand performance, he now has 54 wickets in the ongoing league.

That was not his only contribution in the game. His team needed him to do the job with the bat and yes! He top-scored for them with the bat as well. He came in to bat with the team reeling at 128/6 and unsure of a victory, but with his unbeaten 44 took them home with a wicket in hand.

Following the match, Colwyn Bay CC member Brian Roberts recalled that it was at least 35 years or more since a bowler from the Bay dismissed all the ten batsmen.

Mr. Roberts who is the chairman of Sports Conwy and a director of Colwyn Bay Rugby Club, said Billy Lloyd, 76, and David Madoc-Jones, 75, who are still members of the club were the other two bowlers who completed a perfect ten.
