Indian cricketers and their salaries 2021-22
BCCI has reportedly finalised the salaries of the cricketers for the period of October 2021 to September 2022.
26. Washington Sundar – INR 1 crore
Washington Sundar was emerging as one of the young sensations of the nation. At a very young age, he got the opportunity to represent team India in all three formats. When everything was going fine, he suffered a hand injury and this kept him out in the majority of the matches.
He made a strong comeback against West Indies in ODIs in Feb 2022 and took four wickets in three matches with an economy of 4.16. But again, he was ruled out of the upcoming series with a hamstring injury. Now, Even though he had the traits to get a promotion, his injury concerns have made him continue in the same grade (C) category.
27. Yuzvendra Chahal – INR 1 crore
Yuzvendra Chahal has not been able to do the magic that he produced at the start of his career. His numbers dipped and was eventually dropped from the T20 WC squad in 2021. However, he plays the majority of T20I and ODI matches. He was dropped to grade (B) from (C) in 2021 and he remains in the same category for this season too.
