Indian cricketers and their salaries 2021-22
BCCI has reportedly finalised the salaries of the cricketers for the period of October 2021 to September 2022.
8. Mohammed Shami – INR 5 crore
Mohammed Shami remains in category (A) without any changes. He is the primary choice of seam bowler after Bumrah in the Indian squad. He has played 13 matches including the Tests and T20I cricket overall since 2021 and has taken 35 wickets.
9. Ajinkya Rahane – INR 3 crore
Ajinkya Rahane, the former Test vice-captain of India, has been demoted to grade (B) from grade (A). He has been serving the Indian Test team as a consistent middle-order batter for a long time. His average topped in the year 2019 at 71.33
But during the course of the last couple of years, Rahane’s performances started to dip and in 15 matches since 2021, his average was just 18.91. Rahane was then dropped from the Test squad too and has to prove his form in the domestic cricket to make a comeback into the squad again.
