Mohammed Shami is having a torrid time in 2018 both personally and professionally. There were allegations of domestic violence on him early on and he was also ripped off his annual contract. However, it was later reinstated by the BCCI after he was cleared from all the fuss.

Shami did not have a gret IPL either. Adding to the woes, he also failed the fitness test and was pulled out of the only Test match against Afghanistan. Shami, however, has been a vital cog for the team in Tests and also plays a few ODIs here and there. Suresh Raina has made a comeback into the Indian team this year. He has smashed a 49-ball centtury in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to make a spot for himself on the selectors&#8217; radar.
