Pakistan are the biggest contrarian in world cricket. You expect them to perform well, they will disappoint you. You underrate them; they will produce a wow performance. The Green Army came into this tournament as ‘underdogs’ and after they were crushed at the hands of Team India by a hefty margin; no cricket pundit thought they will make it to the finals.

They not only have played good cricket but have also shown the world that they deserve to be at this level and the No.8 ranking is not where they belong. The fight, passion, temperament, composure, which was missing in this Pakistan team for quite some time, has clicked at the right time for them.

Indian fans stood up for Pakistani skipper

Pakistani skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed has played a pivotal role in making the team what it is today. However, the media was more concerned about how he delivers his thoughts (in English) in the post-match press conference yesterday (14th June).

Recently, a video of Sarfraz went viral on the internet in which he can be clearly seen panicking when he realised there were only English reporters.

With English not being his first language, Sarfraz isn’t the most comfortable while interacting. Moreover, to make a mockery of him, a lot of Indian media houses covered it. But, Indian fans didn’t find it hilarious and stood up of Sarfaraz which was also appreciated by their Pakistani counterparts.

Indian fans made sure to teach a lesson to all the media houses who covered it by appreciating his cricketing skills and giving the example of some of the greatest sports persons in the world.

Pakistani fans thanked Indians for supporting their skipper and standing for a right cause.
