Australia allowed India to land quite a few punches on their face in the Boxing Day Test at MCG and Twitterati is in no mood spare them for that. The hosts particularly came under fire for their poor fielding in the crucial Test with Peter Siddle, who is not a member of the playing XI, in the frontline. The pacer dropped a simple catch of Rohit Sharma at backward square-leg off Nathan Lyon, adding to the woes of the Baggy Greens who spilled a number of catches in the inning.
It happened in the 147th over of the Indian innings when Rohit top-edged one from Lyon while sweeping and Siddle, who was fielding for Pat Cummins, had plenty of time to grab it. He moved across, held on to the ball with both hands and then spilled it, much to the dismay of the bowler. Rohit was batting on 15 then and went on to score a much-needed half-century to keep his Test career alive.
India declared at 443 for 7 in first innings
Indian batters saw a far improved performance in the first innings as they put up the highest team total so far in the series at 443 for seven before captain Virat Kohli declared. Rohit remained unbeaten on 63 after Cheteshwar Pujara hit his second century of the series and Kohli, the other overnight batsman, got out for 82. Australia were eight for no loss at stumps with their openers Marcus Harris and Aaron Finch safely negotiating the Indian bowlers for six overs.
The series is tied 1-1 at the moment after Australia won the second Test in Perth by 146 runs to make up for their 31-run loss in the first Test in Adelaide.

Bwahhahahahaha ! Tim Paine was provoking Rohit to the core and literally got the reward. Poor Peter Siddle dropped the simplest of catches. They should've fielded Archie Schiller in his place. 😂😂😂😂 #INDvAUS #AUSvIND
