How often have we seen Indian fans lose their cool while players or commentators of a different origin even mention an Indian player in a banter. Today was another such day as Mitchell Johnson took a sly dig at Ashish Nehra amidst a fun conversation with Mitchell McClenaghan and Dean Jones on Twitter. The former Aussie pacer made a post for the New Zealander and stated that he was looking forward to their duel in the Big Bash League.
Johnson quoted McClenaghan from a news piece which read, “And I remember changing my action to bowl like Mitch. I made my first-class debut with Mitch’s action and it’s kind of evolved from there.
“I got my first first-class wicket off a wide full toss to point … I probably emulated him a little too well! 4.• “To meet him at Mumbai was bloody awesome, I was shitting myself. I was just hoping he was going to be a good bloke, (and) he’s an absolute gem.
“We got on like a house on fire I think he’s having separation issues at the moment, I get the odd message from him.”
As a caption along with the picture Johnson wrote, “@Mitch_Savage ?can’t wait to catch up when we beat you in the upcoming BBL”
You going around again old timer? ??

The Kiwi acted to be surprised that Mitch still had plans to continue with the BBL at 35. He wrote- “You going around again old timer?”

Affirming his guess the Aussie rather challenged him to see who was the faster among the over 30 left-arm fast bowlers. He said, “Hahaha yep & we should have a bowl off to see who’s the fastest left armer over 30”

Entry Dean Jones, the professor who is in India covering Australia’s limited overs tour to the country couldn’t help but mention the old warhorse who is still representing the Men in Blue in T20I cricket, Ashish Nehra. He quoted Johnson’s tweet and wrote, “Currently Ashish Nehra ? #onlyjokingchampion”
