Indian man uses MS Dhoni's name to cheat a US based woman of thousands of dollars
When the cops got into the details of the matter it came to light that the said company didn’t even exist.
A man from Bihar, India duped a woman in the USA claiming he owned a company that former Indian captain MS Dhoni endorsed. Jyoti Ranjan told her that he is an extremely successful entrepreneur who has a technology company. The two also had a sort of relationship where the man made false promises of marrying her.
With all that he successfully extracted $86,000 from her and his truth was only out when he tried to convince her for more. Jyoti, as it turns out doesn’t own a company, the name Intilever Technology Private Limited he had given her is fake and the question of having Dhoni is well out of the picture.
The woman is an Indian who works as a software engineer in the United States believed him as they have been in touch since 2016 and even met travelled there to meet her. To fully convince her Jyoti got false news printed bloating of his massive achievements. All that just to ensure she still trusted him and didn’t get suspicious.
Man nabbed in Patna
His greed got the Patna resident in trouble as he recently asked her for another Rs 5 lakh; she sensed something was wrong and opted to take help from the legal system. The woman then lodged a complaint with the SSP of Patna Manu Maharaj. Based on that, an FIR was filed at Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna. The cops then set out in search of Jyoti and he was located in Rajiv Nagar where the police arrested him.
When the cops got into the details of the matter it came to light that the said company didn’t even exist. On his part, Jyoti has still not admitted the crime, pleads innocent and claimed that the woman is lying and levied false allegations against him.
