Indian Players that missed out from World Cup 2015 Team: Indian squad to defend the their World Cup title was announced today and everyone is talking about the 15 names which are selected, no one has spared time to talk about those 15 unfortunate names that were in probable but could not make it to final 15. Let’s look at those 15 unlucky players that were so close to book their tickets to Australia but failed at the last moment. Murali Vijay Murali Vijay has been India’s best batsman in Australia but missed out on a world cup spot. (Photo Source: Getty Images) Murali Vijay has been a changed batsman since he arrived in Australia and has enhanced his reputation as a top class batsman multiple folds as he has scored heaps of runs in Australian tour thus far and with Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma in miserable form selectors would have definitely considered his name but could not finalize it because of his poor record in the ODI format. Robin Uthappa Robin Uthappa was again close but could not make it to India’s world cup 2015 team. There was a toss-up between Ambati Rayudu and Robin Uthappa for the back-up wicket keeper spot and Rayudu because of his recent international performance got the nod. Manish Pandey Manish Pandey despite of strong domestic performances would fell missed out from the ICC world cup 2015 team. Manoj Tiwary Manoj Tiwari has been consistent wiith out much reward. He is the Amol Muzumdar successor who has been hammering tons of runs in domestic cricket with very little appraisal. Kedhar Jadhav Kedar Jadhav was also in the probables but did not make it to the top 15. Wriddhiman Saha India chose to go in without a back up wicket keeper and thus Saha did not find his name in the 15. (Photo Source: Associated Press ) Wriddhiman Saha has been traveling as a back-up wicket keeper with the Indian team from the past 3-4 years and is rated as the best Wicket-Keeper in India but since Ambati Rayudu can keep meant team does not require the 2nd back-up wicket keeper. And thus was not considered for selection. Sanju Samson Sanju Samson is young and inexperienced, good future prospect but he was over looked for the world cup this year. Though not the World Cup 2015, the 20 years old will have opportunities coming his way to prove his metal in the future. Varun Aaron Varun Aaron has the ace but lack of discipline went against him and his world cup berth. Yadav’s better control and his recent performance would have favored the decision in his favor. While Aarons’ leaking away too many runs and loosening up the pressure went against his favor. Mohit Sharma Mohit Sharma has been picked as the backup pacer with the Indian team for the tri-series in Australia. (Photo Source: Getty Images) Mohit Sharma’s inclusion in the Tri series meant he was very close to getting a place in the World Cup squad but selectors went for the more experience Ishant Sharma instead of him. His presence in Australia will also mean that in case some other bowler misses out or falls for an injury Mohit will be in a position to replace them. Dhawal Kulkarni Dhawal Kulkarni will stay with the team for the ODI tr-series in Australia if not the world cup.(Photo Source: BCCI) Dhawal Kulkarni was also in the reckoning till the last moment but again decision to pick a seam bowling all rounder instead of a pure bowler meant Mumbai pacer has to miss out from the team. He is also a part of the tri-series team. Amit Mishra Amit Mishra has been around as the leg spin option but was not given a serious consideration for the world cup 15. Karn Sharma Karn Sharma missed out marginally from being team India’s third spinner. Kuldeep Yadav Kuldeep Yadav will get his share of opportunity in coming days but this world cup surely isn’t his turn to come to the party.(Photo Source: ICC) Kuldeep Yadav is the only Chinaman bowler that India has ever produced but he is too young right now to be named in the World cup team. And more over the World Cup demands a lot more than just talent you need to be ready for the challenges the highest level of the game brings up to you. Parvez Rasol Parveez Rasool has been good at the domestic level but still did not manage to seal a world cup spot for himself. Rasool despite of solid domestic performances was not given a huge consideration as Ashwin is an obvious choice for the team. Ashok Dinda Ashoke Dinda has been tried on the international level and since he failed to deliver has been ignored from India’s 15 players for the ICC cricket world cup 2015.
