Manish Pandey played alongside Virat Kohli in India U19’s victorious World Cup campaign in 2007/08. Though he couldn’t taste success as much as Kohli, but has grabbed eyeballs with his performances, especially for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. KKR roped in Pandey in the 2014 auctions and ever since he has dished out several match-winning knocks for his franchise.

He is predominantly a middle-order batsman and has hardly flattered to deceive. He isn’t intimidating to the naked eyes, but can be a tough customer to deal with when he is in full flow. Deservingly enough, he should be retained by the Knight Riders.
