Indian T20 League 2019, Match 13: Punjab vs Delhi - Fantain Fantasy Cricket Tips
All that you need to read before picking your Fantain XI for Punjab vs Delhi
Punjab will kick off their second home game in the Indian T20 league 2019 against Delhi at Mohali on 1st April. While Delhi will be coming into the match after a Super Over win against Kolkata, Punjab will also be high on confidence after beating a superior Mumbai team by 8 wickets. Let’s take a look at both the teams before you pick your Fantain XI for the North Derby.
Venue – IS Bindra stadium, Mohali
Team news –
Punjab
Punjab replaced star signing Varun Chakravarathy with Murugan Ashwin in their match against Mumbai and might stick to that decision when they play Delhi as well.
Likely playing XI – Lokesh Rahul (wk), Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Sarfaraz Khan, David Miller, Mandeep Singh, Hardus Viljoen, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Andrew Tye
Delhi
It is unlikely that Delhi will want to tweak their winning combination from the previous game.
Likely playing XI – Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer ( c ), Rishabh Pant, Colin Ingram, Hanuman Vihari, Harshal Patel, Chris Morris, Amit Mishra, S Lamichhane, Kagiso Rabada
Hot picks
Chris Gayle
The universal boss nearly went unsold in the 2018 IPL auctions until he was picked by Punjab in the last minute. The first hundred of that season was smashed by Gayle! The Jamaican looks in good form this season as well with one half century, and could win you lots of points on your Fantain XI.
Andrew Tye
The winner of the purple cap in 2018, Tye has had more than a decent this season too. His variations were on full display at the Eden Gardens and will come handy against Delhi as they have a lot of left-handed batsmen.
Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada defended the lowest total in a Super Over in IPL history as Delhi beat Kolkata at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday. Rabada gave away 7 runs while the required run rate was 12 and also castled Andre Russell in the super over. Delhi won the match by 3 runs in the super over after both teams scored 185 in the allotted 20 overs each. Rabada’s Yorkers were exceptionally well executed and he should be your first pick on Fantain XI.
Prithvi Shaw
After the return from injury, the young batsman has been in the form of his life, and further proved that with a knock of 99 runs against Kolkata. Shaw will thrive on a batting friendly Mohali pitch.
Shreyas Iyer
The Delhi captain has been leading his side from the front, even as a batsman. Iyer looks in good touch with the bat and would want to register a good personal score against Punjab.
