After 43 league games, teams are still vying for a spot in the Play-Offs. Apart from Chennai and Delhi, who have more or less sealed their spots, the rest 6 teams are jostling hard in the business end of the tournament. Rajasthan and Hyderabad are no different as they lock horns at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday and will push hard to earn those two crucial points.

While Rajasthan are fresh from a resounding win over Kolkata on Friday, Hyderabad crashed to a comprehensive loss to Kolkata and will be without the services of their star batsman Johnny Bairstow for the first time. Likewise, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer won’t take any further participation in Rajasthan’s campaign as both have flown to England to take part in their national team’s World Cup preparatory camp.

The absence of English stars will open the doors for other foreign cricketers which might make your job difficult if you are sitting down to pick a fantasy team. Liam Livingstone might get a look in since Ashton Turner has failed to buy a run so far. Hyderabad will have to field Saha as their golvesman and will ponder on including Martin Guptill in the mix.

The surface in Jaipur offers assistance to the spinners but if the batsmen put their heads down, there are runs for the taking. Overall, Hyderabad start this game as slight favourites while Rajasthan remain a dark horse due to the exodus of English stars.

Dotball team for Head to Head/Small Contests:

Wicket-keeper: Sanju Samson

Batsmen: David Warner (C), Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane

All-Rounders: Shakib Al Hasan, Vijay Shankar, Riyan Parag

Bowlers: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Shreyas Gopal (VC), Khaleel Ahmed, Jaydev Unadkat

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: The swashbuckling opener has recorded only 2 failures in 10 games this year, the rest 8 being all 50-plus scores. Time away from the game has increased his hunger which is very much evident in how he has gone about his business for Hyderabad. After scoring 545 runs this year, Warner’s average stands at 71.75 along with a stellar strike rate of 146.05. Expect him to produce the goods again for Hyderabad against an average Rajasthan bowling attack.

Vice-Captain: Gopal has spun the ball a long way but would have been happier if he had a better control over his stock deliveries. Nevertheless, the legspinner has captured 13 victims in 11 games while maintaining a decent economy rate of 7.28. Gopal will love to bowl at Hyderabad’s underperforming middle order.

Fantasy Tips

Riyan Pryag’s ice-cool temperament has impressed many during this season. The young batsman has produced two match-winning knock just when the team needed him to step up. He could be a wild card entry in your fantasy team if you are looking for a value buy.

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: SInce taking over the reins of the side, Smith has been very consistent and has also helped his team to 2 wins in 3 games. He will be looking forward to taking the responsibility of seeing off Rashid Khan before exploding towards the end of the innings.

Vice-Captain: Rashid hasn’t got a bucketful of wickets, like he always does, but has shown control which has enabled him to restrict run-scoring. He will relish bowling in Jaipur and will look forward to making the most of the conditions.

Fantasy Tips

After missing in action because of an injury setback, Saha will be keen to remind people about his prowess at the big stage. The 34-year old has a game to succeed in T20s and will benefit from Warner’s fine form.

Fantasy Tips

After being forced to warm the bench in the first half of the tournament, Khaleel Ahmed’s resurgence has been extraordinary. He will be a handy option with the new ball against Rajasthan’s top-order.
