The Indian men’s and women’s teams reached England on June 3 and are currently in Southampton. While India and New Zealand square-off against each other in the summit clash of the World Test Championship (WTC) on June 18, the Indian women will start their all-format United Kingdom tour with a one-off Test on June 16.
The players have already started to post pictures of the ground with a breath-taking view. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Poonam Yadav and Harmanpreet Kaur are the prominent ones who have posted pictures on their social media accounts.
Earlier in the week, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials gave permission to the families of the players to accompany them, as it is a long tour and players might well be fatigued due to bio-bubble restrictions. Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma has accompanied him for the tour.
The popular Bollywood actress also posted a picture of herself standing in the balcony with a mesmerizing view of the stadium behind. Apart from the beautiful picture, what caught everyone’s attention was the caption that she put underneath.
“Don’t bring work home” is a phrase most used by spouses to their husbands whenever they are at the office and do some leftover work at home. Clearly, Anushka does not want Kohli to bring any stress and tension whatsoever after the end of the day’s play.
Harleen Doel’s cheeky reply on Anushka Sharma’s post
As soon as the post went viral, fans started writing happy comments. Among many of those, India all-rounder Harleen Deol gave a cheeky reply to Anushka’s photo while watching Kohli take the perfect picture. “hahaha i could see the photographer getting on knees for this click . Full dedication I must say,” her comment read.

Kohli’s dedication and consistency while captaining and scoring tons of runs is a known fact, but his dedication is the same while clicking pictures too. Clearly, the Indian skipper does not like to make any compromise when it comes to anything.
The Indian team seems happy and relaxed ahead of the finale, which is a good sign. The team has played phenomenal cricket in the WTC cycle and are fittingly in the top to battle it with New Zealand.
