16. Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik was one of the more reliable batters in the middle for India in the 2018 Asia Cup. He scored 146 runs in six matches at an average of 48.66 and a top score of 44. He also played a crucial hand of 37 runs in the final.
Karthik also went on to play in the ODI World Cup the following year in England and also appeared in the semifinal against the Kiwis. He has not played in ODIs ever since; and today, it is safe to say that the wicketkeeper-batter is a one-format player.
In 2022, Karthik is having the best year in his T20 career and is one of the best finishers in the format at the moment. After a successful IPL season with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he forced a comeback to the national team after almost three years. He has made a strong case for himself to get a spot in the Asia Cup as well as the T20 World Cup squad.
