Rishab Pant has now become an integral part of the team and is the first choice for the wicketkeeping role. He made his ODI debut against West Indies and has played a total of nine matches against them in which he has scored 178 runs. He is a fearless batter and has been successful at number four.

5. KL Rahul

KL Rahul, the interim captain in the absence of Rohit Sharma, will be the Hitman’s deputy in this series. While he was opening the innings in South Africa, his top-order batting position is at stake as Rohit has returned and hence will most probably bat at number five.

This versatile player has been quite successful at number five as he averages 56.63 in that position. He is a good player of spin too and will be tested here in this place. When it is against West Indies, Rahul has 233 runs in four ODI’s at an average of 58.25. It must be noted that Rahul will give the opening ODI a miss but will return for remaining fixtures.
