Virat Kohli and his men were ruthless and merciless in their approach when they took on the Sri Lankans at the island nation in a full fledged series. the Indians not only completed a whitewash but they did it across all formats of the game registering an incredible 9-0 series victory. Failing to win a single match in the series, the Sri Lankans were no match to the dominant Indians and they looked hapless on the 22 yards.

As far as the Test series is concerned Sri Lankan managed to come up with only 2 centuries in the 3 Tests. On the other hand, the Indians scripted centuries at will with Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara smashing 2 each while Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, and Hardik Pandya chipped in with one. Sri Lanka’s highest wicket taker was Nuwan Pradeep who took six wickets in the series while the Indian bowlers were way ahead of their Sri Lankan counterparts. Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami finished with 13, 17 and 10 wickets respectively.

The series gave us an impression that the Sri Lankan batsmen were not at all equipped to deal with Indian bowling attack. They had all their bases exposed to the Indian bowlers as they fell like a pack of cards every time they came into bat. The Indians look solid in their planning and execution as they were on point in all the three departments of the game.

The main story:

However, it has come to notice that someone from the Indian team management had left a paper with detailed plans back in the dressing room. The recently found paper consists of a thorough analysis of the Sri Lankan batsman pointing out their strengths and weaknesses which might have helped the visitors immensely in the tour. It can be considered as an act of laziness or carelessness to leave the paper behind. However, the questions still remain over the fact that was it a mistake or was it done intentionally.
