11. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar immediately made his presence after returning from injury against the limited-overs series against England. He was India’s most economical bowler in the team strangulating English batters in the power play and death overs. Kumar also led the attack in that series in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
Kumar is only one of the fours seamers selected in the squad and has vast experience in playing the shortest format. He has taken 50 wickets so far in 51 T20I matches at a good average of 25.10. But it is his economy rate of 6.90 runs per over is that stands out. With T20 cricket being more of a slam-bang of cricket, Kumar’s incredible control with his line and lengths will make life difficult for batters.
Over the past two years, his batting has also improved, and he has shown enough composure to score handy runs lower down and support his batter at the other end during tense run-chases.
