Injured Rahat Ali to miss the rest of the Bangladesh Tour: Pakistan left arm pacer Rahit Ali is all set to miss the two match Test series against Bangladesh that begins next week in Khulna. Rahat has injured his hamstring in the nets and is ruled out of the remainder of the tour. Rahat has been Pakistan’s vital cog in Tests for the last one year and his absence will be a huge miss for them.
Pakistan’s official twitter handle @TheRealPCB tweeted this Rahat Ali out of Test Series against Bangladesh due to hamstring injury. Replacement, if any, will be announced in due course.
Pakistan will look to change their fortunes in the Test series where they will have their most experienced batsmen Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan. Earlier in the tour, Pakistan were whitewashed by Bangladesh in the three match ODI series and were also beaten in the one-off Twenty20 International.
Pakistan are already hit by a number of injury worries in their team as the missed the services of Sohail Khan, Yasir Shah, Ehsan Adil and Sohaib Maqsood in the initial part of the tour owing to injuries. Adding to these injury issues, form of Mohammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal has been a worry for them.
Hafeez has scored less than 10 runs in the three ODIs while Ajmal, who returned with a remodelled bowling action is ineffective as he is yet to pick his first wicket with his new bowling action.
The most likely line up for Pakistan in the first test will be Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal and Zulfiqar Babar.
