The Indian team though has won two of the three Tests in the ongoing series against England but they have certainly been troubled by injuries to some of their key players. It started with KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar being ruled out of the first part of the series due to injuries. Limited-overs opener Rohit Sharma who plays in the middle order in the Test team and while he was just about getting into his grooves in the longest format he hurt his thigh muscle tendon which has ruled him out of action for at least a couple of months.
After the start of the series KL Rahul made a comeback in the second Test but was once again not available for the third Test. Hardik Pandya who was named in the Test team for the very first time hurt his shoulder and was ruled out of the series. Then wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha strained his thigh which kept him away from the action in Mohali and Mumbai as well. Murali Vijay had troubles with his back but looks fine to play the fourth Test.
Ahead of the Mumbai Test skipper Virat Kohli revealed that Mohammad Shami had a niggle and was uncertain for the game while later the BCCI confirmed that middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane has been ruled out of the series as he sustained an avulsion fracture on right index finger.
Rohit was quite baffled with what was happening in the team. He tweeted expressing his shock at Rahane’s injury and felt the team was afflicted by an evil eye with so many players falling to injuries in such a short span.
He tweeted- “What?? Rahane now?? Whats with all the injuries. Kaun laga raha hai nazar team ko”

While some of his followers sounded concerned most of them had a different perspective to it, they felt the players who were not in form were deemed unfit as an excuse to show them the way out of the team. Not sure if he would agree with that here are some of the most interesting replies to Rohit’s tweet:
