'Invite kyun nahi kiya' - Rashid Khan hilariously asks Manish Pandey while wishing the latter on his wedding
Only few hours after winning the SMAT20 title for Karnataka, Pandey got hitched.
Manish Pandey became the latest to enter the club of married Indian cricketers after tying the knot with Indian film actress Ashrita Shetty in Mumbai on Monday. The dashing cricketer got married just hours after leading Karnataka to their second consecutive Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title. He starred with the bat, scoring 60* to help his side win the game by one run against Tamil Nadu.
And moments after lifting the trophy in Surat, he headed straight to Mumbai for the wedding. The India batsman and Ashrita got married in a glittering ceremony which was attended by the close friends and relatives of the couple. Manish looked stunning as a groom while Ashrita looked elegant as a bride.

As soon as Manish Pandey tied the knot, fans and his fellow cricketers took to Twitter to congratulate him. The likes of Kohli and Rohit Sharma did not wait long to wish the newlyweds. And Manish’s Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Rashid Khan also followed suit. The Afghanistan star to congratulated his ‘brother’. He also cheekily expressed his disappointment over not being invited to the wedding.
“Congratulations my brother @im_manishpandey Raja wishing you a lifetime of happiness together and a love that grows stronger with each passing day. Lekan Invite Q nahi kya,” Rashid’s tweet read.
Manish, meanwhile, will not get enough time to celebrate his wedding due to his cricket commitments. He will soon join the Indian team for the upcoming T20I series against West Indies. The three-match series will start on December 6 in Hyderabad.
As far as his wife Ashrita Shetty is concerned, she hails from Mumbai and has predominantly featured in Tamil films. She rose to fame after working in Udhayam NH4 alongside Siddharth and also featured in Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanigalum and Indrajith among other films. Manish and Ashrita are also the latest cricketer-actress couple. In the past, a lot of cricketers tied the knots with actresses including current captain Virat Kohli.
In 2017, the Indian skipper married the Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma. As per reports, the likes of KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya are also dating Bollywood actresses. More than Rahul, it is Pandya who has been grabbing the spotlight for his rumoured relationship with Natasa Stankovic.
