The 23-year-old right-handed batsman had his best season in the Indian Premier League in the 2014 season or IPL 7 where he amassed 324 runs in eight matches at an average of 40.50. That season propelled his place in the Kings XI Punjab squad, and since then, he has been a regular for the Punjab team.
Fast-forward to the tenth season of the IPL and the opener has not missed a chance to score some handy runs for his side, with 95 being his highest score this season. That innings came against a valiant bowling attack that consists of the likes of Rashid Khan, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul and the Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques.
