The players of Gujarat Lions seem to be sharing some great camaraderie between themselves. Well, that is always a necessary trait any team wishes for. In a recent exchange of words, two of the biggest superstars of the game showed admiration for one another. It was Brendon McCullum who thanked Suresh Raina for a lovely gesture that the latter made on the day.
It all happened when Riley McCullum, the son of Brendon McCullum, managed to catch up with Suresh Raina. Apparently, Riley is a big fan of the veteran Indian southpaw. When the two met recently, Raina had a gift for the young kid. Raina gifted him a bat and that gesture was absolutely loved by Riley. Senior McCullum loved the gesture as well and was quick to take to the social media.
McCullum shared a picture of Raina and Riley with both being in Gujarat Lions jerseys. He also thanked his Lions’ skipper Raina for the sweet gift that he had for Riley. He added that his son was overwhelmed to meet one of his idols. McCullum tweeted, “Reckon Riley was pretty stoked with his day out! Kind gift from one of his absolute idols! @ImRaina. Massive respect thanks brother!”.

Currently, both players are plying their trade for the Gujarat Lions. The Lions have had a very tough time in the tournament thus far and are struggling with their form. Both Raina and McCullum are expected to shoulder bulk of the responsibility for the team in the days to come.
