IPL 10, Final, Mumbai Indians v Rising Pune Supergiant – Statistical Preview

The 10th edition of the Indian Premier League has reached the conclusive stage with the Mumbai Indians eyeing their 3rd title while the Rising Pune Supergiant will be hoping to end their IPL stint with a trophy in their bag at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, which will be hosting its first ever knockout/playoff game in the IPL.

Here we look at all important stats ahead of the big final

6 – Number of Twenty20 final wins Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have been a part of so far, the joint-most number of wins in Twenty20 finals for an Indian. Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin have also featured in 6 Twenty20 final wins. One of Rohit and Dhoni will move ahead tomorrow.

168 – Runs scored by MS Dhoni in the IPL finals, the 3rd most behind Suresh Raina (209) and Murali Vijay (181) in the IPL finals. Dhoni averages 56 in the finals, the 2nd best behind Kieron Pollard’s 61.5.

309 – Runs scored by Rohit Sharma in this IPL season so far, the fewest by him in an IPL season. Previously the least he scored was 362 runs in the 2009 edition. Rohit needs to score 41 more runs to join Suresh Raina as only players with 350+ runs in all the 10 IPL seasons.

376 – Runs scored in the Twenty20 tournament finals by Kieron Pollard, the most by any player in T20 finals.

1978 – Runs scored by Rohit Sharma as captain in the IPL so far. He needs to score 22 more runs to become the 5th player with 2000 runs as captain in the IPL.
