Sanju Samson
What could be a dream start to the IPL season? Well, a century maybe! Whether it’s a superman Samson flying to save a six or hitting the first ton of the season, this youngster has been the talk of the week. He made his Twenty20 International debut for India against Zimbabwe on 19 July 2015 and plays for Kerala in Domestics. His impressive technique combined with an ability to time the ball first earned him a place in Kerala’s U-19 team and then into India’s U19 Asia cup in 2012.
Sanju Samson recorded his maiden T20 ton and alongside Sam Billings put on a 69-run stand for the second wicket that helped Delhi ease to their first win in this edition of the Indian Twenty20 competition against Rising Pune Supergiant. Also, Delhi went past a 200 score for the first time since April 2012 and He was replaced by Aditya Tare in the game. Samson targeted Pune’s seamers early in his innings with a series of drives through point and cover. He eventually departed after smashing a sensational 102 of 63 deliveries. The manner in which the 22-year-old prevented the ball from crossing the boundary rope got the whole stadium and all of his teammates erupted, shows his strength and zeal.
