IPL 10, First 2 weeks: 5 Players who can force their way in to the national team
We have already witnessed some exceptional cricket being dished out by all the teams in the tournament so far.
Shardul Thakur
Just when you thought too much batting talent, emerges a quick bowler on blocks. He earlier was in Kings XI Punjab and presently plays for Rising Pune Supergiant. He represents Mumbai in first-class cricket and has been sensational in the domestic format. An aggressive quick bowler, who can swing the ball away from the right-handers even while hitting the pitch hard. His commendable performance led Mumbai to win their 41st Ranji trophy in 2016.
Pune is in plight this season in IPL. But one name that stands out in the camp is Thakur indeed. His three-wicket haul against Bangalore led Pune to win after losing 3 on the bounce in this season. Thakur was more expensive but was equally effective with his slower balls, the knuckle ball in particular. He had Mandeep Singh caught behind in his first over. Then towards the end, he deceived Pawan Negi with a slower ball and had Stuart Binny bowled with an accurate Yorker.
