Lockie Ferguson- 2/7 in 4 overs (Rising Pune Supergiant v Royal Challengers Bangalore)
The fast bowler from New Zealand was brought in as a replacement for the injured Ben Stokes and he accepted his opportunity with both hands. Against a struggling Bangalore side, Ferguson arguably bowled the best spell of the season. Though he bagged only a couple of wickets but giving away 7 runs in a T20 match that too after bowling his full quota deserves special mention.
He came into the attack as the 1st change bowler and delivered immediately with the most important wicket of Mr. 360 AB de Villiers. In the middle overs, he bowled with great venom and troubled the batsmen on a consistent basis. The RCB batsmen failed to cope with his pace and bounce and were found wanting. The quickie also added one more to his kitty by removing Stuart Binny in his final over.
