IPL 2015: Player Auction to be held on 16th February

The player auction for the 2015 IPL will be held on February 16 in Bangalore. The auction will be a one day event only, unlike the previous auctions which were 2 day events.
This auction will see players like Kevin Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh and Hashim Amla have the maximum base price of Rs 20,000,000. Franchisees like Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore will have the most purse to spend on, having released many big names form their teams.
Each franchisee will get an additional amount of INR 30,000,000 which will be added to the balance they had from the INR 600,000,000 last year and the amount they generated from the release of players from their team.
The teams with maximum amounts in their purses will be the Delhi Daredevils (INR 400,000,000) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (INR 210,000,000). Sunrisers Hyderabad (INR 208,500,000), Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have INR 130,000,000 each; Kings XI Punjab has INR 118,000,000, Mumbai Indians have INR 100,000,000 to spend on players in the auction.
There are 724 players in the auction including players from England, Sri Lanka, Australia and big name players like Aaron Finch, Amit Mishra, Irfan Pathan, Eoin Morgan. The availability of Pakistani players is still unknown. (Also Read list of players for Auction)
Delhi Daredevils will definitely look forward to buy players who will help them make top 4 this time. They have earned the wooden spoon in the competition 2 times in the row. Similar is the story of Royal Challengers, who let go of Yuvraj Singh brought for INR 14 crore in last auction.
The exact number of players in the auction is still not clear due to the last date for franchisees to trim the original list has been extended to February 4.
