IPL 2017 Schedule: Tournament kicks off with SRH vs RCB at Hyderabad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the IPL 2017 schedule today (February 15). The tenth edition of the league is all set to get underway with the clash between the champions and the runners-up – Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at their home ground the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Stadium in Hyderabad on April 5.
Like the previous season, the teams will play a total of 56 league matches will be played along with the four knock outs and will go on for a span of 47 days across 10 venues around the nation. In the second match, the Rising Pune Supergiants will meet the Mumbai Indians in a Maharashtra Derby game at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
The Holkar Stadium in Indore has been introduced as the new venue for the IPL 2017 which will be Kings XI Punjab’s second home ground since their original home Mohali drew a poor crowd right through the previous edition. While Dharamshala and Ranchi haven’t been allotted matches this time.
