3. Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina has had an erratic run in the Ranji Trophy with a string of low scores. He hasn’t been in great nick and is struggling to claim a spot in the national team. However, he has been a batting stalwart in the Indian Premier League.
Moreover, he features amongst the leading run scorers in the tournament almost every season. Also, he has an agile fieldsman who is safe as houses with his catching and out-fielding. The cricketer was bagged by the Super Kings for $ 65000 in 2008 and he played eight consecutive seasons for them.
However, after CSK’s termination, Raina moved into the Gujarat Lions team where he impressed with both his batting and leadership skills. It won’t be surprising if the Super Kings decide to vouch for him for the upcoming season.
