3. Jofra Archer – (Rajasthan Royals) – 150.82 kph
Jofra Archer was the talk of the town after his show in the Big Bash League (BBL) earlier this year and there was so much hype around him when he was picked by the Royals in the auction. An injury ahead of the tournament delayed his arrival to the scene. But he made an impact in his very first game by winning the Man of the Match award for his figures of 3/22 with the ball. He caught the Mumbai Indians (MI) batsmen off guard with his pace and bowled brilliant yorkers which were literally unplayable.
It is not easy to bowl at a pace of 150 kph but this 23-year-old cricketer managed it with ease delivering one of his many balls at 150.82 kph which left everyone in awe of him. Rajasthan got the much-needed boost in their bowling attack as well and they peaked at the right time to qualify for the playoffs in the end. Archer proved to be a great buy for the franchise and no wonder they will look to retain him for the next few years.
