Though he was expensive at times, Archer seldom missed his mark and hit the deck hard to bounce out the batsmen as well. He ended the season with 15 wickets to his name in 10 innings as his team was knocked out of the tournament in the eliminator. He was the highest wicket-taker for the Royals and a bowling average of 21.66 was the third best despite playing so many matches. He conceded 8.36 runs per over while striking after every 15.5 balls prove his worth as the bowler. The Royals had snapped him up for a whopping amount of Rs 7.20 Crores and Archer didn’t disappoint at all.
