The Sunrisers Hyderabad started their IPL campaign with a heartbreaking news that David Warner, their captain, and stalwart, was ruled out. It really seemed a huge void for the likes of Kane Williamson to fill in, but what eventually happened was truly outstanding.
Kane Williamson led the side outstandingly well and got them to the finals. It was a disappointing result to see them bow down without much of a fight in the final, but they’ll be very proud of what they achieved. The way they defended a few totals this season will remain a legendary tale for ages.
But all that is in the past and next season, David Warner will be back. The team composition is going to change big time and they have some other facets to focus on. It all begins at the Auction table for any time and here are five players the SRH management might go for in the 2019 Auction.
1. Baba Aparajith
A talented cricketer who’s been doing pretty well domestically for a long time, Baba Aparajith has remained under the shadow of various other cricketers. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t even get to play the IPL this season. But the Sunrisers can take him into consideration after watching how poor their middle order was this season.
The 23-year-old amassed over 4,000 runs in First Class cricket in a pretty short period of time. He’s one of those players who can stick in the middle and play long innings. He can also chip in with a few decent overs in the middle overs if the captain needs him.
