4. Hardik Pandya
The flamboyant all-rounder is one of the brightest Indian talents at present. Hardik Pandya can hit sixes at will in the death overs as his striking ability enables him to clear boundary easily. He is a good fast bowler and can chip in with some wickets which makes him a perfect all-rounder to have in the shortest format.
Pandya burst on the scene through IPL in the 2015 season. The IPL performances put him on the radar of Indian selectors. He has won IPL title two times in his 3-year career with the Mumbai Indians. He is a regular in the Indian team in all the formats and he had a successful year in 2017.
His all-round abilities make him a big asset and quite a few teams need a player like him. MI spent Rs. 11 crore on his retention which by all standards is a steal deal. The player of his quality could have earned a sum around Rs. 17 crores in the auction.
