IPL 2018: A disappointed RCB fan praises MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni played a herculean knock against Virat Kohli's men.
The M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has been a witness to some superlative cricket between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Both sides churned out some jaw-dropping cricket, which kept the audience on the edge of their seats for the chunk of their game. However, the Super Kings turned out to be a hot prospect for Virat Kohli’s men.
Subsequently, CSK emerged victorious by five wickets and with a couple of balls to spare. In the last over, CSK required 16 runs with Dwayne Bravo and MS Dhoni at the crease. The target was well and truly achievable, but RCB still had the upper hand with the number of runs they had to defend. Corey Anderson, the New Zealand all-rounder, was entrusted to bowl the last over.

Nevertheless, he succumbed to the pressure and conceded three boundaries which pulled down curtains on the game. Meanwhile, the women cricketers were also glued to the game and ardently followed every delivery. Dane van Niekerk, the South African woman’s cricketer who captained the team in the World Cup last year, seemed frustrated by the kind of deliveries Anderson dished out.
The Kiwi pacer missed his length and bowled some length deliveries, which were into the hitting arc of Bravo and Dhoni. He bowled short and hit the back-of-a-length, which allowed the batsmen to free their arms and unleash their strokes. Thereafter, the South African woman’s all-rounder posted a series of tweets and severely bashed the Black Cap for the lacklustre spell.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni played a superlative knock which guided CSK to their fifth victory in six attempts. He came in at a time when the franchise was reeling having lost a few wickets in quick succession. Van Niekerk also posted a tweet appreciating the knock.
