IPL 2018: Aaron Finch takes a few batting tips from the 'legend'
He has featured only in 5 matches this season and has mustered only 24 runs.
Aaron Finch has been warming the bench for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) this season after enduring a few failures in the earlier games. Moreover, the middle order slot in the team seems to have affected his batting as he opens the innings more often and is known to take the attack to the opposition in the powerplay overs. Though the Australian is still practising hard in the nets to be ready whenever the tea needs his services. However, he was delighted to take some tips from the legendary cricketer during the practice ahead of the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Finch has only played 5 matches this year and more importantly has only managed to muster 24 runs. He was also dismissed off the very first delivery in the first two matches for him which proved that he is not comfortable to bat in the middle order. Marcus Stoinis has replaced him in the playing XI and the batting prowess of Chris Gayle at the top has kept him out of the side as well. But come the playoffs, he might play a big role for his team while batting at any position in the line-up.
Who is the legend?
KXIP are set to play their penultimate game in Indore on Saturday against KKR and has been training hard in order to put another step forward towards their playoff qualification. He has been taking the tips from the mentor of the team Virender Sehwag to resurrect a few technical glitches in his batting. Finch himself posted the image of him discussing with the former Indian cricketer on Instagram and captioned it as, “Learning from the legend @virendersehwag at practice yesterday!”
Surely, he might be in line for a comeback in the side in the upcoming games and Punjab side would be eager to see him get going soon which will strengthen their middle order significantly.
