IPL 2018: AB de Villiers feels sorry after RCB’s victory against KXIP
AB added that the wicket was a bit slow.
Royal Challengers Bangalore played their first home game of the season against Kings XI Punjab and they are back to the victorious ways at the venue after losing their last five games at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, thanks to AB de Villiers’ calculated knock of 57(40) with two fours and four sixes.
AB de Villiers got out in the 19th over off Andre Tye when RCB needed 20 more runs to win the game. He regretted the moment and felt sorry for not being at the crease till the last moment. His dismissal kept the pressure on the lower order batsman but Washington Sundar managed to finish the game in the final over the game with two boundaries off Mohit Sharma.
“Really wanted to get over the line. Wanted to be not out in the end but feel sorry that I got out and put pressure on the lower order batsmen. I love guiding the team to victory being unbeaten, unfortunately, couldn’t do that,” said AB de after the match as quoted by India Today.
