Youngster Abhishek Sharma was the talk of the town following his blitzkrieg in the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The southpaw was seemingly in the mood to whack a few over the fence against a rather feeble looking RCB attack. Needless to say, the likes of Tim Southee and Umesh Yadav were not spared as the Daredevils eventually concluded on a score of 181, something rather amazing following the terrible start they had to the innings.
At the moment, while the Challengers are chasing the score down, Sharma’s innings was perhaps crucial in the grand scheme of things. With the likes of Sandeep Lamichhane and Junior Dala making their debuts in the Indian Premier League, the Challengers may just fancy their chances of securing an all-important victory.
The southpaw came in following the dismissal of Rishabh Pant. The latter had slammed yet another half-century, something that has now seen him carry his good form following that impressive century in the previous match against SRH. However, while many expected the Daredevils to collapse, Sharma hoisted the likes of Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee and Moeen Ali into the stands while smashing the ball to different parts of the ground.

One cricketer who may empathize and relate to Sharma would possibly be Yuvraj Singh, simply due to the fact that the youngster is a similar cricketer comparatively with Yuvraj. The 2011 World Cup winner was completely blown away and flabbergasted by the youngster and took to Twitter to share his emotions, adding that the 18-year old was indeed a special player and one to look out for.
A mind-blown Yuvraj Singh went ahead and tweeted, ‘And @IamAbhiSharma4 has arrived! 46 of 19 this kid is special dd vs RCB.’
