The Rajasthan Royals have spent some big amounts to acquire the services of Ben Stokes this season. An able all-rounder and a lightning fast fielder, Ben Stokes could give a run for the money for any team. Stokes was purchased by Rising Pune Supergiant for INR 14.5 crores last season. He scored 316 runs for them in the 12 games that he played and was important taking them to the finals. Stokes also had a century against his name and was equally good with the ball. He picked 12 wickets in as many games at a fantastic economy rate of 7.18.

Hence, in 2018, Rajasthan Royals bought him at INR 12.5 crores. However, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations and isn’t as effective. He only managed to score 147 runs in the 7 games played thus far at an average of 21. With the ball, he only picked one wicket and at an economy rate of 9.88.
