IPL 2018: Chennai Super Kings schedule for the season

The buzz around the Indian Premier League 2018 is only getting intense with every passing day. The primary reason behind this being the return of two big sides to the IPL roster – Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. It is worth noting that the Chennai franchise has been one of the most consistent teams in the history of the tournament.

Playing under the leadership of MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings have made it to the playoffs of the tournament in every edition they have participated in. And now, they look set to continue their good run in the tournament in 2018. The schedule for the IPL 2018 are out and the preparations for the tournament have already begun.

Chennai Super Kings will play against the Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener this year. The match will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in April 7. The Men in Yellow will then head south to their home venue.

The first home match for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018 will be against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will be the home venue for the CSK franchise in the season. Following the first home game, the team will play their second away game against the Kings XI Punjab. The match will be played in Indore.

After the game, they will head back home again to host the Rajasthan Royals – the other returning franchise of the tournament. The last league game of the season for team CSK will be a home game. They will play against the Kings XI Punjab in their last league game. In all, CSK will play 3 day matches this season. Two of these matches will be home fixtures.
