Australian batsman Chris Lynn has become a big sensation in the world cricket. His hitting prowess has made him one of the most sought after properties in the limited overs cricket. In the Big Bash League this season, he lived up to the expectations and hammered some humongous maximums. Currently, the attacking batsman is with the national side playing in the tri-nation T20I series.
When the BBL was in progress this season, Chris Lynn received another big news in the form of the IPL 2018 Auctions. At the auctions, the Kolkata Knight Riders retained his services for a whopping amount. Lynn has had a start-stop sort of a career in the IPL. He has turned up for the event, but his perennial shoulder injury has often cut short his stays in the tournament.
This year, however, he would be hoping to excel in the tournament and live up to all the hype and buzz that is around him. Interestingly, it was the Kolkata Knight Riders camp that had experimented with him as an opener. Since then, different sides have tried him in the same role. And Lynn has never looked any better than in the role of the opener. For the KKR camp, Lynn had opened with Gautam Gambhir in the early stages of the IPL 2017.
He was also involved in a record first wicket partnership for the Knight Riders in the history of the tournament. Later, he opened with Sunil Narine. The duo of Narine and Lynn formed a powerhouse batting duo at the top of the order.
While the KKR camp is happy to have Chris Lynn in their camp, Lynn is also very happy to be back at the KKR roster. He recently took to Twitter to express his happiness and excitement about the same. He also praised the team management for putting up commendable effort in picking up the squad at the IPL 2018 auctions.
Here is what Chris Lynn tweeted:
“Well done to the coaching staff and support team at @KKRiders. Love the team they have put together and looking forward to being apart of the family again,” Chris Lynn tweeted.
