Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are on a roll since the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season this year and have both their matches so far. While the opening encounter announced their comeback to the tournament successfully, the second match completed their lovely homecoming in front of the raucous crowd at the Chepauk. Recently, the franchise signed David Willey as the replacement for injured Kedar Jadhav and even the England cricketer is now excited to join the team and win the matches for them.

The thrilling victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has certainly set the ball rolling for the Men in Yellow and the juggernaut seems to have continued from 2015 where they last left. The team is an emotion for most of them as the franchise concentrated on getting the core of the team back. The likes of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis and Murali Vijay have previously played for them and the new cricketers are also loving to spend the time with the legends in the same dressing room.

Willey can’t hide his excitement

David Willey signed the contract with CSK just when he was about to feature for Yorkshire in the upcoming County Season. The cricketer left his team in the middle of the two-day friendly match against Leicestershire on Monday to complete the formalities with them and is all set to join the team now. While ahead of his arrival in India, his team registered a superb victory over the star-studded KKR by gunning down the target of 203 runs. Willey was excited to join the team and he took to Twitter to express his elation.

“Buzzing to join @ChennaiIPL for #VIVOIPL! Incredible game last night and can’t wait to be a part of a great team! #Yellove #Yellove #WhistlePoduArmy,” he tweeted in excitement on Wednesday.

Willey should be available for the next match of CSK which will be played on April 12 against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali.
