IPL 2018: Faf du Plessis draws the best conclusion after CSK's win over RCB
Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni added 101 runs for the fifth wicket to bring CSK back in the equation.
The Chennai Super Kings registered a final over win yet again in the IPL 2018. This time around, they beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Southern Derby in Bengaluru. It was their skipper, MS Dhoni, and opener Ambati Rayudu, who were the chief architects of the win for the Men in Yellow. The moment Dhoni hit the winning six, the CSK dugout erupted in joy. The overseas recruits like Faf du Plessis, Shane Watson, David Willey, and Mark Wood were seen all smiles after the win.
The celebrations and the praises did not end just there. After the game, the fans and the celebrities lined up to congratulate the Chennai Super Kings. MS Dhoni, in particular, received some serious praises from the Bollywood world as well. His fellow teammate, Faf du Plessis, was not left far behind in congratulating him either. Faf took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his thoughts on the game.
The South African veteran exclaimed that both Dhoni and Rayudu were absolutely magnificent in the match. He admitted that it seemed impossible to win the game at one stage but MS Dhoni proved yet again that he is the best finisher in the world. Well, du Plessis has drawn the right conclusion, hasn’t he?
Here is the tweet that Faf du Plessis posted after the game:
“How good was @msdhoni and @RayuduAmbati last night …wow.Seemed almost impossible to win that game .MS still the best finisher in the game,” Faf du Plessis wrote in his tweeted praising MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu.
Commenting on the knocks, the target of 205 looked like a daunting task with CSK reeling at 74/4 in 9 overs. Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni then added 101 runs for the fifth wicket to bring CSK back in the equation. While Rayudu perished after scoring a well made 82 off 53 deliveries, MS Dhoni stayed unbeaten at the crease with 70 off 34 deliveries to his name. He finished the game with a thundering six over long on.
