2. Ravindra Jadeja | Chennai Super Kings
Jadeja now has his role clear-cut than it was earlier. He is clearly given the licence to bat with a lot more freedom and is being sent in ahead of DJ Bravo. CSK is clearly looking to have the left-right combination in the middle which is a great tactic but it is not helping with the way Jadeja is playing. He is consuming a lot of deliveries up there and is failing to accelerate. He isn’t as economical as he was with the ball either and is leaking a lot of runs.
In the three games CSK played this week, Jadeja had one great opportunity in front of him to prove his mettle with the bat. But, in the game against KKR, Jadeja only managed to score 12 off 12 at the death potentially costing CSK the game. He also dropped two catches in consecutive deliveries in the same game. He bowled 8 overs this week and leaked 70 runs in as many overs picking up only two wickets.
