Yuzvendra Chahal has made it into this list for the simple reason that he is deviating away from his role. Agreed that RCB doesn’t have a good bowling lineup but Chahal’s role is definitely not curtailing the batsmen. He isn’t as aggressive with the ball as he was in the previous season. Instead of looking for wickets, he is trying to restrict the batsmen from scoring runs which is hurting RCB badly. With plenty of wickets in hand, the oppositions are going all guns blazing at the RCB bowlers which hasn’t helped their cause much.

Chahal has picked only seven wickets in eight games this season which is completely in contrast to what he did in the earlier seasons. He conceded 52 runs in the 8 overs bowled this season with no wickets. This is far below standards for a bowler of his liking. Chahal is at his best when he asks the batsmen to hit him big and only then he picks his wickets. With oppositions trying to play his overs out without much risk, Chahal should rather go for a more aggressive option and try to pick as many wickets as possible in the middle overs.
